Laser Dentistry - No Pain Dentistry
Today's advances in dental laser
technology have dramatically improved dentistry. Dental
lasers offer improved patient comfort, pinpoint accuracy
and outstanding results for a whole host of procedures.
Best of all, a shot is rarely required and no drill
is used. Dr. Olsen offers the revolutionary Waterlase
laser system, which received FDA approval for use on
teeth in October 1998. Because this technology does
not cause heat or vibration in the mouth, Waterlase
can ease the pain and anxiety of patients who are fearful
of drills.
What is Waterlase™ and how does
it work?
Waterlase technology uses a combination
of laser energy and water to gently and precisely remove
dental decay with no shot, no drill, and no pain in
most cases. Because the Waterlase Laser eliminates the
heat and vibration associated with many traditional
procedures, the need for anesthesia (novocain) administered
through a shot is eliminated.
