I was born in Ogden, Utah and always knew I was going to be in the health profession. I started college at Weber State University studying biology with the intent of getting into dental school. After a two-year hiatus on an LDS mission in South Africa where I had a wonderful time meeting people and exploring a new country with many exotic animals, I met and married my wife, Theresa. I was accepted to the prestigious Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska, where I was the proud recipient of many awards for clinical excellence.
My family and I love living and working in St. George. It is a wonderful place to raise our two sets of twins. We enjoy tennis, hiking, mountain biking, softball and, of course, golf. We also enjoy and support the local theater, watching and acting. I recently played Uncle Max in the Sound of Music
with my wife (Frau Schmidt) and daughters (Brigitta, Marta, Nun) in the show. If you attend the local theater, there is a good chance you will see my family and me sometime on the stage! We look forward to getting to know you as patients and friends.
My ultimate goal is to give patients smiles that they love. I do this by offering comprehensive care, including cosmetic and restorative dentistry, dental implants, orthodontics, periodontal care and more. These specialties can do more than make you look good; they can boost your self-esteem and give you a lifetime of happiness.
What’s more, my artistic ability along with my dedication to perfection have greatly enhanced my expertise as a dentist. This gives me the sensitivity and skill required to create the beautiful, natural-looking smiles.
I also believe that in order to provide high-quality dentistry, a patient can’t be rushed. That’s why I will spend the time necessary with you to fully understand what you desire for your smile. This includes asking what your expectations are, answering all of your questions, and explaining your treatment options in great detail. It’s the same kind of friendly, highly personalized dental care that I would want for myself.
Theresa Olsen – Accounting
My name is Theresa Olsen and I am Dr. Olsen’s wife. I have worked at Red Cliffs Dental for 14 years doing payroll, accounts payable and advertising. I enjoy seeing and visiting with the many patients that have become friends over the years. We have the most wonderful patients! A lady the other day said to me, “You are so lucky to have a great husband who is also a great dentist!”. I completely agree with her. I have been able to watch over the years as my husband has transformed many patients’ lives by transforming their smiles and teeth. It has been a great experience to be a part of. I keep busy at home with 16 year old twins and 11 year old twins. My family is the best part of my life. In my spare time, I enjoy working out and reading. I hope if you are reading this, you can become a part of the Red Cliffs Dental family. It is a great place to be!
Megan Baxter -Front Office Coordinator
I was born & raised in Utah and love everything it has to offer: hiking, site seeing, boating and anything adventurous! I was lucky to have been able to be a stay at home mom to raise my 2 kids who are the light of my life. I found my passion in 2006 when I completed my certification to become a dental assistant. I loved being our dental hygienist assistant from 2013-2017 where I gained the knowledge to expand my love for Dentistry. Being able to connect with our awesome patients has been a BIG contributing factor to making the big move up to the front office. My goal of making people happy and helping our patients have the smile of their dreams while brightening up their day is a success every day because of our family here at Red Cliffs Dental.
Tiffani Wardle – Insurance and Finance Coordinator
I was born and raised in Salt Lake City. In 2017 we made the move to St. George and we are LOVING it! I love trail running, volleyball, wake surfing, long boarding, and just being outside taking in all the “red” beauty. I have been in small business management all my adult life. In 2012 I made the switch to Dental management. I’ve had the opportunity to work and consult with several Dental offices. Disclaimer: Not all Dental offices are the same. I thoroughly enjoy coming into work everyday, because of Dr. Olsen and his amazing staff. I hit the jackpot being an employee at Red Cliffs Dental. We truly are a TEAM!
Miranda Parsons – Dental Assistant
I grew up on the Oregon Coast, and spent a lot of years in Southern California as well. I’ve enjoyed dental from a young age – I used to trade candy for disclosing tablets in grade school, safe to say I know where I belong and love what I do. Grateful to have my Registered Dental Assisting license, and I’ve been in the dental field since 2012. Proud to call Washington home, and couldn’t imagine living anywhere else! When I’m not in the office I really enjoy being outdoors; camping, hiking, or on two wheels pedaling with my husband Jason and pup Miley!
Amy Butts – Dental Assistant
I am from Willard Utah and I graduated from Bridgerland Applied Technology College in 2014 where I studied dental assisting. I worked as an assistant until I left for Peru for 18 months on an LDS mission. Since then I joined the Red Cliffs Dental family in August 2018 and have enjoyed working with all of them! I am currently a student at Dixie State University where I’m studying biology, with a Spanish minor to eventually get into a dental school. I absolutely love it here in St. George because of the happy people that live here and the amazing landscape. I love anything that has to do with adventure, climbing mountains, acrobatics, reading, laughing and helping people, especially in the dental field. I am a firm believer in smiling and laughter and it is such a joy to get to know patients and play a part in creating their happy smiles.
Danielle Ward – Dental Hygienist
I was born and raised in Orem, Utah. When I was very young I always loved visiting the dentist and I continually told my school counselors that I wanted to work in the dental field. My senior year of high school I chose to use my elective credits in order to receive my dental assistant certificate. After graduating from Mountain View High School, I started working as an orthodontist assistant and knew the dental field was right for me . In 2012, I met my husband Damon and I married him a year later. Damon had repeatedly heard me say that I wanted to be a dental hygienist and he was my biggest supporter when I chose to go back to school. I applied to multiple hygiene programs but when I was accepted to Dixie State University’s program, the decision easy to make, we packed our stuff and moved to sunny Saint George. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with my Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2018. In my free time I like to fly fish and play pickle ball with my husband. Most importantly, I love being a dental hygienist and I enjoy the opportunity I have to meet many different people. I feel so confident in the services we provide and truly believe that Red Cliffs Dental provides the highest standard of quality care.
Allison Ryan – Hygiene Assistant
I joined the Red Cliffs Dental team in November of 2018. I’ve loved working with such amazing people and getting to know each one of our patients!
I returned from serving a church service mission in Montana in April 2018. I have a passion for performing, and I love being an active member of the community. I played the role of Belle in St George Musical Theater’s production of Beauty and the Beast, which was directed by Dr. Olsen.
I love being a part of this incredible team. Working at Red Cliffs Dental has been an immense blessing in my life!
